The Raising Aspirations Project.

The Raising Aspirations Project (R.A.P.) empowers and inspires young people to make positive contributions to their lives. We achieve this through aspirational mentoring, coaching, and informal education, helping to create viable career paths aligned with each young person's passions.

R.A.P. also plays a vital role in diverting young people away from school exclusions, crime, and serious youth violence. Our holistic approach focuses on personal development, building self-belief, and mapping out visual pathways toward meaningful and sustainable futures.

We are actively seeking corporate partners who are committed to creating equitable opportunities and nurturing a diverse pipeline of future talent. By sponsoring the R.A.P. initiative, your organisation can play a pivotal role in driving social mobility, championing inclusion, and inspiring the next generation of changemakers.

The EmpowerMENT Programme.

Initially a pilot supported by Foot Locker and Laureus Sport for Good, this impactful 14-week, fully funded sports, wellbeing, and personal development programme is designed for young people aged 11–14 from underserved communities. The programme supports those who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education, helping them to re-engage positively, tap into their true potential, and improve their long-term life prospects.

Structured over two transformative phases—Mindfulness and Mastering—the programme combines group-based development with at least four personalised mentoring sessions per participant. This holistic approach strengthens emotional wellbeing, builds confidence, and helps young people form a clearer sense of identity, purpose, and direction.

We are now seeking corporate partners and sponsors to expand the delivery of this much-needed programme across schools in Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham, with a particular focus on improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes. Your investment will help us scale our impact and transform the futures of young people who face multiple barriers to success.

The Amani Project.

We’ve collaborated with The Amani Project, to empower teens with mentors, soft skills and support.

With Young Black Londoners twice as likely to be unemployed as white counterparts, our six month mentoring and employability programme for Black/mixed race 16-19 year-olds includes access to a series of inspirational workshops, mentoring sessions and networking opportunities, equipping them with the confidence needed for a successful life and career.

The project was inspired by The Amani Project CEO, Amani Simpson’s, lived experience of getting a second chance at age 16 from a mentor who helped him build confidence and find a positive pathway.

Holiday Youth Club.

Delivered out of Mentivity House, this targeted youth work programme supports young people in receipt of free school meals, who would otherwise be inactive, isolated, or at heightened risk of violence. Designed to provide a safe and engaging environment, we work with participants through a range of dynamic activities including media and digital content creation, life skills development, wellness and wellbeing sessions, and physical activity.

All activities are underpinned by our trusted mentoring approach, where mentoring happens organically through the activities themselves. We also offer dedicated group mentoring sessions and provide one-to-one support for those young people identified as needing deeper, personalised guidance. This integrated model helps to build confidence, develop positive relationships, and encourage long-term engagement.

We are actively seeking sponsorship and corporate partnerships to support the continued delivery and expansion of this much-needed programme from Mentivity House. With your support, we can increase access for more young people across Southwark and surrounding boroughs, improving wellbeing, reducing social isolation, and helping young people navigate a safer, more hopeful path forward..

Mentoring.

Empowering growth through meaningful connections

At Mentivity, our Mentoring Programmes connect young people with trusted mentors through meaningful, goal-oriented relationships. Each mentee sets personalised goals and regularly reviews their progress, supported by their mentor and guided by thoughtfully designed learning content.

We offer three core types of mentoring to suit the needs of our mentees:

  • Traditional One-to-One Mentoring
A mentee is individually matched with a mentor, either as part of a structured programme or independently, fostering a deep and consistent relationship.

  • Group Mentoring
A single mentor supports a small group of mentees, encouraging peer learning, collaboration, and shared growth within a safe, supportive space.

  • Mentoring Through Extracurricular Activities
Mentoring is also delivered through engaging activities outside the classroom at our weekly Youth Club sessions run out of Mentivity House, as well as our weekly Community Football Session at Michael Faraday School. These sessions provide a relaxed and inclusive environment where mentoring happens organically through shared experiences and trusted relationships.

All mentoring journeys are underpinned by a structured model that follows four key phases:

Preparation → Negotiation → Enabling Growth → Closure

These phases build on each other and evolve naturally over time. While each relationship is unique, this framework ensures that all mentoring experiences are purposeful, empowering, and developmental.

Gender Specific Mentoring.

At Mentivity, we go beyond surface-level support. Our dedicated mentoring team is trained to understand and respond to the diverse and complex needs of the young people we work with. We recognise the unique pressures that gender groups face—from societal expectations to media influence and peer dynamics—and we tailor our approach to meet those challenges with care, insight, and cultural sensitivity.

We believe that true growth happens when young people are supported holistically. That’s why our mentoring addresses personal development, cultural identity, and structural barriers—helping mentees build confidence, resilience, and the critical awareness they need to navigate the world around them.

Whether in one-to-one sessions, group settings, or community activities, our mentors build trusted relationships that create safe spaces for reflection, growth, and long-term change. With Mentivity, young people are not just supported—they are seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.

Conversation Based Learning.

We believe that some of the most powerful learning happens outside the classroom. Our approach to Conversation-Based Learning—a form of informal education—centres on real, meaningful dialogue that sparks reflection, builds trust, and drives personal growth.

This style of learning isn’t confined by a formal curriculum. Instead, it happens organically through conversation, relationship-building, and shared experiences. Whether it’s a moment of insight during a mentoring session, a breakthrough conversation on the football pitch, or an inspiring group dialogue after a workshop or aspirational visit, these moments shape how our young people see themselves and the world around them.

We use Conversation-Based Learning to:

  • Engage mentees on their terms, connecting learning to their lived experiences

  • Deliver inspirational workshops that spark curiosity and broaden horizons

  • Facilitate aspirational visits that expose young people to new environments, careers, and possibilities

  • Support social and emotional development, cultivating the confidence and critical thinking skills they need to thrive

At its heart, this approach is about more than learning—it’s about building communities, relationships, and environments where young people can truly flourish. Through this method, we empower our mentees to grow not just academically, but emotionally, culturally, and socially.
