What is mentivity? 

Mentivity delivers a combination of 1:1 Mentoring, Group Conversation Based Learning and Alternative Educational Provision at both mainstream and Pupil Referral Schools in London and the South East. Three young men born and raised in the Walworth, Peckham and Camberwell wards of Southwark founded Mentivity: Sayce Holmes-Lewis, Leon Wright and Tyson Holmes-Lewis. Mentivity have identified the need for an inspirational service that supports young people deemed ‘at risk’ and on the ‘margins’ of society.

Mentivity provides an on-going and holistic support package in Pupil Referral Units and Mainstream Schools that is firmly grounded in theory. Our bespoke interventions are appropriate for each individual since we use a unique person-centred approach. Moreover, we offer NCFE Functional Skill as accredited outcomes for our young people. Not only does this give further grounding to our work, it also helps to satisfy formal learning outcomes for each young person that we work with.

Mentivity delivers a portfolio of education and mentoring services, incorporating community sports and positive activities to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. We work in partnership with clients from across Greater London and the South East to achieve our aims. Our clients invest in us because of our exceptional and relevant experience; since our inception we have gained a burgeoning reputation for combining both professionalism and excellence with creativity, passion and purpose.

WHEN do we provide support? 

In order to provide the best support for our young people, Mentivity delivers its services during curriculum time and extra-curricular time.. At Mentivity, we are proud to deliver services and home visits outside of ‘normal’ school hours; in this way we offer young people and their families visible support and guidance that works in harmony with school contact time. This three-dimensional approach is key to the success of our methods, and maximises the positive outcomes for young people we work with.

We are also proud to be able to send our inspirational mentors directly into schools. This approach allows us to work closely with our clients to identify and prevent the marginalisation process in its early stages and before alternative educational provision is required. We have a proven track record of inspiring our young people to do better and be better, assisting them through the journey of adolescence and the pressures of educational attainment.
